Ink It Pink Challenge #3

This is my take for the Ink It Pink red, white and blue challenge:
And I'm proud to say that I took my inspiration from the fabulous Dawn Mercedes, with her card of R,W&B flowers. (Please try to look beyond the awful photography in my photos, my camera is terrible and my skills are lacking!!!)

I even made another R,W&B card with the same motif because I like it so much:
I just love how the flowers look kind of like fireworks, and there are so many options for what can be put in the centers: buttons, rhinestones, brads, beads, etc.

Happy Meal Birthday

My husband is a chef, so on his birthday, I HAVE to go all out for his dinner and dessert. He wanted gourmet hamburgers with all the traditional sides. And for the dessert, I got a great idea from a cupcake book my Mom got me last month. I made these:
Hamburger cupcakes!
(A brownie smushed in between two flat cupcakes, with green dyed coconut and red and yellow colored frosting, topped with sesame seeds.)
Cookie fries with pink sauce!
(Cut up sugar cookies sprinkled with sugar crystals and pink frosting on the side.)
I love how they turned out, and my husband hasn't stopped raving about them. He had to show all the guys at work. I also love how simple they are to make, as far as desserts go. And they were pretty yummy, too. We made em up for all the fathers for Father's Day too.
I know hubs was going easy on me, he could have asked for a much more complicated meal. But this one really made him happy, and that's what counts. It made the rest of us happy too!

Ink It Pink Challenge #2

For the second PBD challenge, the card I made was simple, yet definitely manly:
It's another Father's Day card, too. I just have so many good, father figures in my life!
It was my first time inking up a scene, and being fairly new to stamping I'll admit I was pretty nervous. It wasn't so bad, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I guess I just need practice, practice, practice! Too bad my two little monkeys hardly allow for that...

Ink It Pink Challenge #1

I'm so excited to start entering into challenges again!! Here's my take on the "use words for background" challenge, and since Father's Day is right around the corner... well, two birds with one stone, you know.
The fathers in my life LOVE candy, so this jelly bean one is for my dad:
And the gummy bears are for my husband (shhh, don't tell!):
Along with the cards, I'll include a real bag of goodies.
I had so much fun inking up the cute, little candies!

Catching Up

Phew! It's been a long time since posting a creation. I've been reeling from the recent departure of my fellow crafter, but I've stamped up a few cards in her absence and figured I'd better get them on here. They're mostly birthday cards, as I've been working on my goal of getting one to everyone this year.

Here we have some boy birthday cards. Hopefully they were "manly" enough!
And some girly ones:
This sentiment about growing old is my fav:
I loved making Mother's Day cards:
As well as a baby card for a shower:
And of course, you can't have enough silly, confection-loving, monster cards!

Unicorn Poop

I know this is not a "stampin" post, but it is a creation our Dad found and requested Adrienne and I make... so, without further ado here it is:
UNICORN POOP!
We told the lady at the bakery supply store about the purpose of our visit in getting 'disco dust' and she was so excited and asked us to bring in one of our creations for display... As she had never heard about unicorn poop before, I told her to Google it.  When we brought in this little beauty she told us she had been telling everyone about it and another lady had decided to make some of her own also.  She put our creation in the focal point of all the other displays she had.  It looked so awesome!
For our display we even used edible grass.  Now for some reason I feel like I should be prancing around the neighborhood leaving these cuties on every one's doorstep, but I have more important things to do right now.  But, can you imagine opening your front door to this?  I would just die!
While we had our happy cookie dough going we decided it would be super cute to make a plain rainbow version:
I love it!
Here's to hoping spring is coming soon, and Happy Hunting... for unicorns and their pretty poop.

Thanks "Snow" Much

Did you know that you can "print" with the Cameo??!? Just replace the blade with a ball point pen! We tried it out on the sentiment for these winter, thank-you cards, and it came out pretty awesome.
